Privacy Policy
PetSage collects only the information necessary to provide the service. We follow strict data minimisation — if we don't need it, we don't collect it.
Information you provide directly:
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personal identifying information. No account is required to use PetSage.
All pet profiles and health logs are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you use the PDF export feature.
We do not operate servers that store your pet's health records. If you delete the app, your data is deleted.
When you use the Ask PetSage chat feature, your message and a summary of your pet's recent health logs are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response.
What is sent to the Claude API:
PetSage does not store the content of your AI conversations on any server. Conversations are not retained after the app session ends.
PetSage AI responses are for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional veterinary diagnosis or treatment.
Because your data is stored locally on your device, you are always in full control of it.
